Role Overview

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network and infrastructure systems, including Microsoft servers and various Apple and Microsoft desktop systems.
  • Support monitoring, performance optimisation, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Assist with system upgrades, patches, and configuration management.
  • Support IT security measures, access controls, and resilience planning.
  • Contribute to the documentation of systems, infrastructure, and technical processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis for technical issues.

Training to be Provided

As part of this apprenticeship, you will:

  • Attend structured off-the-job training delivered by Solveway Apprenticeships.
  • Complete portfolio evidence linked to your workplace activities.
  • Receive regular progress reviews and be supported by a designated workplace mentor.
  • Work towards the successful completion of your End Point Assessment.
  • Be provided with appropriate workplace tasks to develop competence in advanced IT systems, infrastructure support, networking, security, and professional behaviours in line with the Level 3 ICT apprenticeship standard.
